Abstrak
Pembentukan penjejakan listrik (electrical tracking) pada permukaan bahan isolasi disebabkan karena flashover secara terus menerus terutama pada saat ada kontaminan yang mengalir di permukaan bahan isolasi. Akibat penjejakan listrik maka permukaan bahan isolasi menjadi rusak dan lebih mudah mengalirkan arus listrik. Bahan isolasi yang baik harus memiliki karakteristik listrik arus bocor yang sangat kecil, tegangan kritis flashover yang sangat besar dan permukaan bahan yang bersifat hidropobik
Makalah ini mempresentasikan hasil penelitian arus bocor pada bahan isolasi resin epoksi yang diisi dengan silikon menggunakan metode uji standar IEC 60-587:1984. Tegangan tinggi AC 50 Hz diterapkan pada elektroda tegangan tinggi. Kontaminan cair amonium chloride ( NH4Cl ) dialirkan pada permukaan bahan isolasi resin epoksi. Pada saat terjadi discharge pada permukaan bahan, arus yang mengalir dideteksi dan direkam dengan menggunakan Osiloskop untuk selanjutnya disimpan.

Berdasarkan data-data hasil pengukuran, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa discharge current dipengaruhi oleh sifat hidropobik permukaan bahan. Sifat hidropobik ini juga berpengaruh secara siginifikan terhadap pembentukan jejak listrik permukaan (surface tracking). Waktu untuk terjadinya discharge juga dipengaruhi oleh kondisi permukaan bahan.

Abstract

Formation of electrical tracking on the surface of insulating materials due to flashover is continuously especially when there are contaminants that flow on the surface of insulating material. Due to the surface tracking electrical insulating materials become damaged and easier flow of electric current. A good insulating material must have the electrical characteristics of leakage current is very small, critical flashover voltage is very large and the surface material is hydrophobic.
This paper presents research results of leakage current is performed on epoxy resin silicon insulating materials using Inclined-plane Tracking Test (IPT) based on IEC standards 587:1984. High voltage AC 50 Hz high voltage applied to the electrodes. Contaminant liquid ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) flowed on surface insulation of epoxy resin. At the time of discharge on the surface of the material, current flows detected and recorded by using the oscilloscope to the next saved. Based on the results of measurement data, we concluded that the discharge current was influenced by the hydrophobic of the material surface. Hydrophobic properties are also significantly influence on the formation of surface tracking. The time to occurrence of discharge is also influenced by material surface conditions
